Well well well, after about 2 years, the time is slowly approaching. Let's update what's been going on, shall we?
Progression
So the game is coming along quite well! We are working on Night 5 as we speak and once the AI seems balanced enough, we will go through to make sure there's a few bugs as possible. As you may have seen my previous posts, we have added an anti-static feature to make it more Recording-Friendly, despite its slight decline of atmosphere. I've also done a few things I thought was necessary, such as making the dark blue of the Menu and Camera hover button more brighter and visible, making it easier for the eyes. It felt necessary.
Release?
Well, there are no promises on this, but I hope to plan on making an official release by the end of the year if things go smoothly. It all depends on my motivation as well as if I can get the bugs tweaked out. This game's file size is bigger than Clickteam normally allows (thanks to 2.5+ addon) so instability is most likely a dead given unfortunately. That's why I made a mention in a previous post about making the "Extras" be a separate build to reduce the instability and increase more enjoyment in the game. It sucks I have to do this, but I want to make this game worth it with how long it's been in production for. We are only three people afterall.
Future Updates?
There is no doubt that this game will be getting a few updates in the future, and I'm not just talking about bug patches. Since the Extras are going to be made later on for Custom Night and a few special stuff, the main game will possibly be updated to tie into the extras in terms of savefile stuff since they'll use the same savefile. I feel like once we get the Extras executable fully made, we will update the main game to V1.1 to add the special stuff to link between the two. It'll be small but noticable.
I hope this clears a lot of stuff and rebuilds the hype for this game. We are trying to finish this up as much as possible. I do want to thank @Littb__ and @StarshineGames
for being a part of this project, for modeling, rendering, voice acting, making the music, and even helping test the game for any bugs I may have missed. I swear StarshineGames have found so many ways to break my game that it actually helped me find ways to stabilize it a lot more because of him. So hopefully this makes the game more enjoyable upon release. And again, I apologize for the long wait for this to be made. Life happens, things changed, but we are still moving forward like most other FNaF projects that seemed dead but dropped out of nowhere.
And as always, have fun and stay safe!
