So, to clarify, I’m still very unsure about this project if it will become any good whatsoever. I’m also still very scared that this is a very cheap and lazy way to make a game. But since I really wanted to, I’ve worked a few days now, when I’ve had time, and…
…Night 3 is complete. Now I have a main tester (TheDaKoopa) who have tested several versions of the game, so I’ve done a lot of balancing and adjustments. Still, the game seem to be hard, to say the least. I will of course make it slightly easier now, but as of now, but him and myself have problems with Night 2. I will make it easier, but I’ll say this: This game is going to be hard… if you don’t know the game well enough. In this game, I’ve learned that it’s very important to truly learn how the game works, how the characters move, how the mechanics work, and generally what is smart to do, since you have to plan your actions carefully. With mainly Wario’s AI, the nights generally start out very calm, but as the night proceeds, you will understand that batteries, priorities, and other strategies are very important to learn. Learn a smart pattern, that’s my tip.
Either way, I’ve tried to do a fancy thing with Night 3, and will do more of these “fancy” stuff with the other nights, too.
If I am to finish this game, I hope it turns out ok-ish, and not garbage. I truly am trying my very best with this, believe me or not :) I do indeed have plans for Night 4 and 5, the new “phone guy” is selected, lots of small details are made (like saving, more sounds, bug fixes, game over screen, etc.). So you could say that the development is at least going smoothly. The quality of the game is another story, as I’ve understood, but we’ll just see where this goes…
Thanks! :)
