Hi all,
My intent with Infinite Mana is to make a game that will spark wonder through both nostalgia and with interesting features. Sure, there are other “retro” RPGs that hearken back to the 16-bit days (shout out to some great games: Cthulu Saves the World, Shadows of Adam, and 8-Bit Adventures 2 to name a few) but I wanted to make something that was more than that. An RPG that you could both completely lose yourself in or just play for 15 minutes and do a little bit of crafting and leveling up before work. Something that keeps you coming back for more.
Here’s a list of planned content for the next big release:
Journey to the large continent of Illyria to visit new towns (including the Free City of Wynn which is almost 10x the size of Densetsu Village!), new explorable fields and dungeons with entirely new biomes, new side quests and stories, and of course to proceed with the main story.
The addition of the Fisher’s Guild where you can turn in your aquatic spoils for rewards and the Relic Seeker’s Guild which will task you to find secret relics in hidden ruins, as well as more Hunts and Heists.
At least 2 new Guises including one that summons fantastical beasts and one that has to do with the mysterious “musical doors” you find in dungeons.
More Alignment dialogue options (Good, Neutral, Evil) that have more of an impact on the game than is currently implemented.
New mini-games, puzzles, and glitches to find!
And also some things I’m considering implementing soon but may not find their way into the game until the game’s full release:
The return of mouse support.
Customizable key-binds.
I can’t say when the next big release will be, but it will most certainly be after crowd-funding. In the meantime you can look forward to more small updates and I may even add a few more things to keep you coming back to the continent of Helios while you wait.
Thanks for supporting me!
~ Hyd
