Hey everyone,
I figured I’d have to make this post eventually, even though I never really wanted to. The game is likely to be canceled. Unfortunately Clickteam Fusion has suddenly had a change in mood in terms of it’s plans for its functionality.
This means that Clickteam Fusion has become so buggy, that I am unable to continue to work on the project. The story behind this is, the saving feature in clickteam has completely collapsed in on itself and has stopped working. I have searched for a solution to this problem, but I have found no solution. Basically what it does, is whenever I click save, it loads for a few minutes then it pops up with a message that says,”Seeking failed” and a folder path as is it is “unable to find this path.” Even though it does exist.
Like I said in the beginning, I saw this coming. Clickteam was experiencing issues long before I started this project. And I fixed some of them, but not all of them. And it just so happened that the ones I couldn’t fix, would be (pardon my french) a huge pain in the ass to deal with.
I decided to close the program without saving. Sure I would lose some progress, but not all. When I opened the file… Half of everything was corrupted. The only frames that were fully left in tact were the Title screen, the Loading screen, and one of the floors (there was meant to be 4 of them). I managed to restore one frame (floor 1) and save successfully, then I started restoring the second floor… the save bug popped up again. I could no longer save. When I did, all of the objects that had animations would be instantly corrupted. I couldn’t do anything.
So, with that being said, I decided that I am going to build the game and release it as it is. But if you have gotten to this point and you are reading this on the day of release THE GAME WON’T BE FINISHED It is FAR to buggy to fix but I tried my best to fix it. You can complain all you want, but I will just make you come back here and read that over and over again. I’m so sorry to disappoint you all.
