You may have noticed that it's been 9 months since the last devblog...
In fact, according to the wonderful File Explorer, the last time any of the files were modified was way back in August, and according to the wonderful Steam, the last time I opened RPG Maker MV was in January.
In between now and then I've had quite a bit of involvement elsewhere. As of writing, I've currently uploaded 6 campaigns to the Half-Life 2 workshop within the past 5 months, with two of them being directly FNaF related, and I've also been playing way, way too much Frickbears 3.
I've been looking back through the project files and come to the realisation that I've forgotten why exactly I ever added the 'Basement Dweller' class or the 'Richard Nixon' Actor or the 'Email Golden Freddy' Item.
As a result of these strange and peculiar entries and the spaghetti code that follows, the game as it is now is basically unsalvageable, so I have made the decision to restart development from the ground up.
What I'm thinking of right now is a set of six unique, shorter campaigns for the classic clickteam era games, each tied to different difficulties. My current ideas here are:
Toys [FNaF 2 location] - Easy
Classic [FNaF 1 location] - Medium
Funtime [FNaF SL location] - Hard
Scraps [FFPS location] - Extreme
Nightmares [FNaF 4 House + Fredbears] - Nightmare
Springtrap [FNaF 3 location] - Springlocked
These modes will be released as they're finished, rather than me releasing them all at once at the end of development, so make sure to keep an eye on this page if you're interested! They will also have lore connections with each other, so if you're that kind of person, you could try and connect the dots long before the last campaigns are released! (Not saying my attempt at lore will be any good, though.)
