Developer diary III: We got sound

Hi everyone!

As the title says, the biggest change since last update is that I have added music and sounds to the game. Well, right now only one sound, explosions, but the code is ready to easily add more sounds, and I will at some point.

Not much to say about the implementation, SFML is easy to work with when you get the hang of it and I haven’t had much trouble implementing this part.

What I have to say, though, is that hunting for game assets is a time consuming task >.<. I’ve been looking in OpenGameArt, searching both for graphics and audio. As you can see I wasn’t able to find any graphics that really suited me, and that’s why the game still looks the same, but at least I found some music and sounds :D. If you know any other places where I can find nice, free game assets please leave a comment ^^.

That’s all for now, when the video I’m uploading is up I will make the game beta public. I’m really excited to see if someone plays it and what will they think about it.

Next thing I have to work in is the trophys and scores, but will also be trying to fix any bugs people may find, and trying to find some good art for the game.

See you in the comments/next article!
