Since there’s still a lot to do for A Light in the Night’s upcoming update, I decided to just write some things about what happened last year, about the game’s current state, and the upcoming update. (HUGE WALL OF TEXT BELOW)
If you didn’t know, I made a Christmas Edition demo of this game last year. There were a lot of flaws and the sounds were too loud (except for the death ones.) But the BIGGEST problem was that THE GAME WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT. It may be easy for me, as the game’s developer, I know the game. But for other people? They don’t stand a chance.
And that’s why I deleted it from the game page because I was frustrated with the results. And I’m not gonna reupload it. If you guys are curious of what it looked like, you can just search it up on youtube, two people currently made a video of it ;)
Now aside from all that, the full game is released. I’ve learned my mistakes from the let’s plays so I tried to prevent them from happening in the final game.
A lot of things I originally planned to implement in the game weren’t included in the release. That’s because I didn’t have time to do game development back then, I was losing a slight amount of motivation. So I did some procrastinating for a few weeks and got back on track after that.
And now for the update,
I never really wanted this game to have any updates. But because it was delayed, there’s been a change of plans…
Again, the update will add some more levels to play through, more good stuff, and more surprises. :)
And just so you know, guys, there won’t be a sequel nor a prequel of A Light in the Night.
Thank you all soooo much for being interested! I appreciate all your feedback to this game, especially the let’s plays. Thanks again, everyone!
Now in the meantime, I won’t be making anymore news updates, but stay tuned for some teasers every once or maybe twice a week. I will make an announcement when the update is out.
Release date…? Unknown yet…
