Development - Day 1

This is the first entry of the Devlog I have created for my game, Starcastle V.S.

I meant to get started on this sooner, but my laptop charger overheated… So… Yeah.

I have created the base background for the game, and the player model. The player can now move, with space physics, and turn. The next step is to add screen wrapping, and a shooting system.

Summary:

Done:

  • Background

  • Player

  • Movement

To-do:

  • Screen Wrap

  • Shooting

  • Main Castle

  • Castle Walls

  • Menu

  • How to Play

  • Music

  • SFX

  • Castle Shots

  • Particle Effects

Possiblities:
? GameJolt Leaderboards
? GameJolt Achievements
? Online Play
? AI Play

Aaaand wow. That’s… A big to-do list. Hopefully it will get smaller as the time goes by. I have created a YouTube channel for the game, which I will use to link to GameJolt for the media. Anyway, I should get back to work.

Happy Gaming!

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

If you have more of an acquired taste, the restaurants in Niravasi have you covered! Maybe skip the salad bar, though.
