Development post #5: Update 0.4.0

Hey everyone!

I just released an update for FNAF:Purgatory 2 (legacy). Nothing major has changed, just a bump in Godot version (Godot 3 alpha 1 to Godot 3 stable) and a few minor tweaks. Now that Godot 3 stable is out, I can start coding the remake!

As for work on the remake, I do not have a whole lot to show this time. I only have a few more animtronics to go before all of the models go through a quick texture pass, and then are rigged and animated. Hopefully I’ll have some progress pictures to show next devlog.

I plan on taking a different approach to making rooms this time around. In previous versions of FNAF:Purgatory, all of the rooms were done as one model with one texture. While this gives total control over how the rooms appear in Blender3D (the modeling program I’m using), it makes making rooms rather slow. I’m hoping to take a modular approach this time, and maybe I’ll even see about making a few rooms themselves randomly generated!

Anyway, that’s all for this devlog! Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you in a couple weeks (hopefully with some pictures, and maybe some in-game stuff too!)

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.
