Hey all, here's a short update on what's been going on with the game's development.
Development's been a little slower than I wanted this month, due to school, and other things happening in our lives. But we still have made some progress with the game.
Before I get into what we've been working on in-game wise, I wanna announce our new testing team. Our old testing team/server kind of died, so we regrouped our testing team.
Here is our new testing team.
Now, onto game development.
So as I said earlier, we've been a little slow this month. But we have been working on the game.
Right now, we are experimenting with a new part of the game. It's going to be the parts that you play in between each day. We haven't started adding that to the game yet, but right now we are currently working out a new art style for it. We don't have anything definitive to show yet, but once we do I will show it to you all.
We've been also been trying to make controller support better. The engine we've been using to make this game (RPG Maker MV) has controller support built into it. However, visually it's not supportive. So we've been adding controller prompts into the game to make it easier to play with a controller. Here are some examples I've made.
Please note that these will definitely be changed soon. These are just tests.
And in case you're wondering, supported controllers for Xbox and PlayStation.
And finally, I wanna talk about the game revisions. I think I've mentioned in a previous dev log that revisions are nearly complete. But now... Revisions have been a little crazy. I keep finding things to change, deciding whether or not to keep them as is or change them. Right now I'm focusing on renders, and Blender has been a bit uncooperative lately. So right now I have no idea where we are during revisions. But I'm sure I'll be done with them soon.
That's all I've got for this dev log. Before I finish this off I've got a question.
Would you all prefer if I made frequent, but smaller dev logs? (Like screenshots, small teasers, etc.)
Or would you rather wait about 1 month for a dev log and have more in those?
Let me know in the comments.
Okay. That's it for real now. Seeya, and have a good day/evening.
