development update!


so ive been getting asked a lot recently when hnr alpha 1 is coming out... and while i cant give an exact date yet, ill at least give you a little bit of an update as to what's currently being done behind the scenes

so first things first, right now im working on ironing out the bugs with the newly added features so far. id rather fix them now rather than having to go back later. ive fixed quite a few bugs so far, but of course there's still more than need ironed out. after those are dealt with, ill be back to focusing finalizing the last couple things i have yet to add.

ive added some very cool new things that im very excited for you guys to see. i leave again for cali in a few days, so obviously development will be paused for a brief period. but once im back, ill be focusing on alpha 1 until it's done and ready for release.

after that, i plan to start focusing on youtube some more. i have some youtube projects im really excited about, including the alpha 1 devlog. ive been working on this game quite a lot so after alpha 1 drops i plan to take a bit of a break from it for a while to focus on youtube amongst other things. (hopefully a long break than the one i said id take after the pre-alpha dropped lol) but, that's not to say the game won't be worked on again. so dont worry! this game isn't going anywhere.

with that being said, dont worry! hnr alpha 1 IS coming, but please do not forget that i am also a person. i have other things going on in life besides game development. game development as a whole is a very time consuming process, so i ask you to please be respectful :)

anyway, ill be sure to keep you guys updated until the day when alpha 1 finally drops. ill see you all later, and have a good one!

following this post, development will be slow for a couple weeks. my girlfriend is visiting again so that'll be my priority for the time being. i hope you understand, and ill be sure to keep updating you all as often as i can!

really proud of myself right now :)

the roof now has a parallaxing effect making it look more 3d and accurate to the a2 roof material. thanks @ctarchaxis for sending me the materials!

player house is getting a little upgrade :)

i can't decide how i feel about this. lights will ONLY spark if they are turned on without a bulb. it will not spark if the bulb is removed while it is on. this is the case in the prototype as well. lmk if you'd like this change to be made or not.

what we thinking? prototype house foundation or original foundation for the players house?

testing out another new concept :p

testing out some new "weather variations" i guess you could say. thought id upload a vid comparing how they look so far!

and yes there currently is a chance for rain during both normal and stormy nights
