Along with the usual spriting, We’ve been spending some time fine tuning how music is handled in Evobeasts. The current demo doesn’t loop music very well, and we think we’ve fixed that.

Since music doesn’t really have any thing in the way of screenshots, here are a couple of our most recent Sprites before we get into the music stuff.
HOW IT’S DONE
For those interested in the process, we start the song at the beginning, and then have a saved loop start and end time for each song, so once it hits the end time stamp it fades out the rest of the song (usually there’s only a second or so remaining of reverberations or something) and starts playing the song again from the loop start point. We also have it set up so the music saves where it left off when you get into a battle. I noticed with some tracks, it never gets to the good stuff if there’s a decent amount of enemies roaming around.
