DEVLOG #26
Hello Everyone,
We haven’t done a devlog in awhile, so we are finally doing another. Todays devlog will focus mainly on what the game will include at launch. We as a company want to make sure our fans know exactly what they’re getting.
Launch
Maps and Loot
At launch, players will have access to 3 maps, Recon Island, Countryside, and an untitled map. Each map will be unique and nothing will feel similar. Around all of these maps are Loot. Loot can consist of Food, drinks, weapons, upgrades for vehicles, clothing, gear, and money.
Building and Bases
Players will be able to build bases via a building system or players can claim a building on the map as a base and build from there. Be on the lookout for raiders, a group of people who have nothing to lose in the last 30 days of humanity, as they will attempt to attack your base.
Players will be able to defend bases with a number of base defenses such as canons, turrets, mortars, and traps.
Underwater
Maps that include water will have things for the player to do underwater. Underwater ruins will make their way into the game along with crashed planes, subs, and boats. These crash sites can include lots of loot including rare weapons, gear, and outfits. Fish will also be making an appearance in the game. Of course, you’ll be able to fish and grab a bite!
Vehicles
Players will be able to access vehicles around the map. As players play our game, they may come across gear that can be used to build a custom vehicle. All custom vehicle creations will be saved and will be able to be used on any other saved game. Vehicles include cars, trucks, buses, and other miscellaneous vehicles.
Updates
We will continue to update the game post-launch constantly. Players will only be required to re-download the game for Content Updates. Content Updates are planned to happen every two months and will add many new things to the game. Content Updates will be marked as 1.1.0, 1.2.0, 1.3.0, etc.
However, we will push bug fix updates and patches weekly via live updates. Live updates only take effect after the user restarts their game.
We will continue this devlog next week going over more features.
Have a great day!
