DEVLOG 3! (READ ARTICLE)


Welcome to a brand new 17' Fnas Redacted Devlog.

It's been a while since the demo was released, and it seems like it did pretty fine, I don't think I've said it but I'm surprised that 17' Fnas Redacted surpassed the number of followers of Redacted before the demo came out, that's quite the thing!

So, to what concerns, the development of 17' Redacted, in terms of Gameplay the game is pretty much done, it's some other stuff that is left to complete, like cutscenes, if they can be called that way, and the skins.

But now, let's talk about some of the stuff that have been implemented.

Achievements

The game will contain 30 achievements for you to obtain, but most of them are related to the Custom Night challenges, so don't think it's gonna be all that complicated.

By now, achievements are not obtainable yet, but as soon as the skins are implemented all achievements will be quickly programmed to be obtainable!

And not only will they be in your game, but also your account!

Options

From the Main Menu you will be able to access this little thing were not only you will be able to log in to Gamejolt, but also change the language between English and Spanish, please take note that this will only affect some importants texts such as subtitles and descriptions.

From this window you'll also be able to go the Achievements page shown before.

Special Challenges

This time around, the Custom Night will have an extra bit of spice, by adding three activable special challenges that will increase the difficult of the night!

Limited Vision is pretty self-explanatory.

Cheap Doll will increase the cooldown from the Tails Doll usage!

Warningless completely deactivates the warning signs that would normally appear when the Music Box has stopped or when Golden Sonic is at the Power Room, so you now have to rely exclusively in the cams to check on them.

Each of this challenges will add one extra star after completing a custom night challenge, having all three activated in a challenge at the same time will win you an achievement!

New Foes

The remaining 4 characters to include are completely programmed and functional, Rot Mario-Bot, Golden Sonic, [Secret] and Shadow Sonic are in the party.

For this DevLog, I'll tell you Rot Mario-Bot's mechanic, as he will be one of your main menaces in the game, normally he is an easy one to deal with, since he is both a Rot and Bot, all three normal methods of dealing with characters work on him.

Use the light on him when you spot him in the hallway, if he happens to enter your office, use the TD or roll in your quills!

However, there is a secondary thing he can do, which is going to the Entrance camera, if you happen to spot him there DO NOT try to reboot the music box because he will destroy it.
Wait a few seconds and he'll leave once spotted. He can turn into a high danger if you don't pay attention.

The Finale

This night, similar to in Redacted 1, will have different mechanics that you will have to face off against.

I will not talk much about them right now, but this shouldn't be that complicated.

By now, the Finale and it's Max version are completely functional, they only lack of background music and one sound effect but gameplay wise there is nothing left to do.

Also, fun fact, this game does happen in 5 nights, because even though The Finale is apart from the 5 main nights, it happens on the same night as Night 5.

Some changes

The game has suffered some minor changes in comparison to the demo, they aren't much but I think they are worth mentioning.

  • Tails-Bot will only reduce her counter to enter the office while you are in cameras.

  • The flashbang now dissapears faster.

  • Phone calls were discarded in favor of infocards, our Tails VA didn't want to continue with the role and we couldn't find a replacement.

  • Rot Mighty takes longer to kill you.

  • Ray-Bot will immediately enter the office if you roll in your quills while he is on white eyes mode in the hallway.
