Hey everyone! GUESS WHO’S BACK! (yes i’m a day late I’m sorry) Sure did take me a while…but finally, marching season is done, and I’m going at a much more decent pace working on the next part of Aqua Rocket: The garden!
First things first, some unfortunate news. “Shreddie”, the animatronic boss of this zone, won’t be making an appearance after all. He’s been scrapped in favor of making the level a bit less lengthy and just adding Kiiro in right here. Speaking of Kiiro—he’s made some of his own changes to the level…such changes including outright fusing the engine room with said garden, something Fortuna’s not pleased about!
(she’s glad you’re okay, though.)
The last zone of Aqua Rocket will have you navigating a rhythmical area, operating based on the beat of the BGM and whatever odd machinations the yellow creature’s added in, with outdoor and underground segments that will lead up to the main man himself. While I don’t have any shots of Kiiro just yet, I’ve got some works-in-progress from both segments mentioned above! The backgrounds need tweaking, but they’re looking alright so far.
That’s all I’ve got for now. I’ll do my best to have a minor patch for the current demo out sometime soon, as I’ve been made aware of some glitches. This coming Sunday, hopefully we’ll have the first enemies ready to show off from this level!
