Hey everyone! Time for a new devlog! Sorry for my absence last week, I ended up getting pretty sick after a school trip.
Got some more screenshots from the garden, which is now mostly complete, minus sound effects. I’ll just add notes as we go, since I don’t have anything super specific to talk about.
Here’s stuff from the brief intro cutscene—new character art for Grey and Fortuna! You can also now be healed by Fortuna at the start of the level if you speak to her after this scene.
This level ended up with only one enemy with an expected kind of design. It’s a small cat that cues lightning rods in time with the music. At the end of the level, there is also an ascending enemy gauntlet leading to the boss room (excuse my placeholder sprite for the platform!).
Lastly—a peek into the cutscene before Kiiro’s new boss fight! I’m pretty close to beginning work on him, If you remember him from the last iteration of HF, he’ll be much different this time around!
Fortuna’s not happy, but…someone doesn’t appreciate her yelling.
