Devlog | July 2021


What has been worked on in the past month?


I'm pretty confident that I can say a LOT has been done within the past few weeks that I have been working on Revenants of Fear: Free Roam. So many things have been worked on, including AI, map designs, etc. A lot of work has been put into the demo of Free Roam, in fact it's nearly complete! All I need to work on is tweaking a few features and then it'll be set to go for a release! I still do not wish to announce any release date for the project, as something could go wrong with the game in a few days, so it's best to play it safe.


What's to be expected in the future?


Well, the demo of Free Roam is slowly coming to a close. I'll be making the game page publicly visible very soon, so you guys have a better understanding on what you are getting into. I have so many plans for the free roam of RoF, and I can not wait to share all of it with you guys!


Anything to be concerned about in the demo?


If FPS is a worry for you, well then I have some good news. I have sent a test build to a few people I know and they were able to run the project very well. No issues with performance. I have tried my best to optimize this game as best as I could, and so far it's working very well!

Have a good Boi

"Our work is never over" they said.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
