Devlog (September 2024): What the game is coming to.

Hey everyone. It's been a while since the last devlog, where I said we would be more secretive and well, it's now time to show you the stuff we've been cooking since then!

We know we've been kind of silent when showing what we are cooking. But we assure you, things are going amazing with the development! And proof of it is that I have an approximation of what is done.

  • Character models are 100% done. Unlike other times that I had to re do the same model over and over to get it right, all the character models are more than perfect to me. I don't plan to do an 8th version of my models, I promise!

  • The map is reaching it's completion. Some props left to do and we are ready to go. I put so much love and effort to it, I hope y'all like it!

  • We have started to program the game as well! @Tocindev, the senior programmer has cooked something wonderful that goes beyond anything you've seen before. The game runs smoothly at 1080p. The player view, the camera system, it beats by far what I considered before in the early versions of this project.

  • Unlike the previous version of the project, I have written a more consistent story of what I want to tell, which characters will appear, etc. This vision applies to game mechanics and events in-game as well. One more step from what we previously had.

Although I'd love to share more screenshots, I think the best thing to do for now is to show the final result when they're ready, just like I said in the previous devlog.

The Team

When I started The Curse of Maggie's, it was a one man army project, but over time I got to meet extraordinary people with high skills crafting their art. Without them, this wouldn't be possible.

Please consider to follow and support all the members of this team! Because they mean a lot for this project. From Masita el Gato, Sair Sair Poor Sair, Wonska, The Hollow Knight (art), StreamYEAH, Marco Antonio (previous design support), TocinDev, ElRafauricio (programming), SpettGree (painting), BlackCat, Orangeade Games (music), all of them deserve love and support!

I'm hoping to show a gameplay video soon! I promise you'll love what we are cooking. Thank you so much for reading!

See you next time.
