Sorry for anybody expecting an update last week, I was caught up trying do several things at once and couldn't think of anything worth posting. I'm still trying to fix certain bugs and polish things before I put out the new demo, which seems to always end up being the most time consuming process for me. I hopefully can finish it by next weekend but, we'll see. If not I probably won't post another update until it's ready.
Recently added/changed:
Weapon upgrading- Just for guns at the moment, using an item. Guns have an attack, capacity, and crit rating that can modified. Crit multipliers are for whenever a shot is perfectly aligned with an enemy. Blades only have an attack stat that can be raised, but they can be enhanced with other attributes.
H-scenes- I was going to have them play continuously on the retry screen, but it didn't feel quite right that way so they're ingame instead upon running out of HP. They happen briefly, but I feel like it gives them a little more impact. I may make a gallery for them but it won't be until later. The retry screen will still have it's own art.
Lots of editing dialogue- Something that also took me longer than I anticipated to do. Largely because of some characters responding differently depending on the order you do things, what you're wearing/carrying, and the time of day, and making sure everything fits correctly and looks right in the text boxes.
Aside from that it's just been ironing out bugs and polishing like I said. Also because the second demo doesn't connect directly to the current one(I was considering having the original scenario accessible in v2) I will probably have another update for 1.3 to fix a few issues it has(like the game crashing when you die to a blade bug).
