Hello, this is Vivid Dreams here.
The past week we have have experimented with 2.5D for our game. However after running into a trial and error session, along with discussion with our VFX team and outside opinion from individuals with expertise in that field - we have decided to revert back to our original style of 2D.
Conclusions we came up from our experimental week was the difficulty in producing 2.5D since we have to use other programs and redo the images. Then we figured that it not go with the aesthetic of our original concept art.. As such, we would like to stick to our original concept and aesthetics rather than going for a new experimental one.
The week had been an experimental one as we learned many things but now we will resume regular production as usual.
