So after watching season two episode four, we see how Alastor chooses to let himself get kidnapped but why? Well it’s because thanks to Husker, Niffty, and Charlie being aware of his “kidnapping” this means that Charlie will convince Lucifer to rescue Al, and thus this could lead to Vox’s downfall and possibly lead to the Vee’s dying in the end. This means that not only does Alastor get his staff fixed from Charlie’s deal but it also means he gets rid of the Vee’s and getting rid of the slander of the Hotel like Lady Killjoy’s broadcast, and it can also means that Alastor has time to figure out how to escape from his deal with Rosie. And I believe that this was what working with Charlie was all about, to get him back to the top after his seven year absence in order to be the most power overlord once again, and all he had to do was to take a sad sap like Charlie’s dream just to get what he wants…
