Game
Physical Memories [2018 VERSION]

Digging this game out of the pile of dead projects I gave up on.

Coming back after 5 years to announce that I'm bringing this game back... kinda.

It isn't gonna be a POPGOES game anymore since I want it to be more unique and separate from it. Since I'm no longer 8 years old (13 if you're wondering) the sprites we're making are going to be actually good. I also have another person working on this with me (@ThatOddPerson ) who will be helping with some of the art. I've learned how to program and will still be making this game in GMS2 since it was the engine I was initially using for this game and also because this is the engine I have learnt over these past few years.

I'm going to be rebranding the game (again) to Physical Memories since "The memories are physical" is too long and boring, and anything related to POPGOES is going to be deleted (except for the blog posts for archival reasons). Looking back on this game, I can see that most of the "art" was just stolen from google and crudely drawn over in GMS2's sprite editor lmao, so for copyright's sake (and also because it actually sucks) I'm remaking it all.

Thanks for reading. I hope that we can actually make this an enjoyable game.

What you all think

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Today I tackled drawing different variations of facial expressions for one of the main characters in Eden. What do you think of it? :) Eden: https://gamejolt.com/games/Eden/592698
