
What is Distorted Mind: True Humanity?
Distorted Mind: True Humanity is a FNaF Fangame that takes place on a facility during the course of one night.
The game is a sequel to Distorted Mind: The Other Fredbear's, for short I'll be referring to each game as Distorted Mind 1 and Distorted Mind 2.
Even though this is a direct sequel, it won't include any character from Distorted Mind 1, instead every character is based off a previous game I made long ago, so consider this also a "half-remake" of sorts.

How will the game be like?
The game is action packed with bits of strategy sprinkled in there. It will follow the FNaF 4 formula of moving around, however the movement is faster and snappier. Only 3 enemy's will come to attack you during gameplay and nothing besides them is a direct threat to the player. Do not expect much horror content from the game, the concept and story itself is the "scariest" part of the game, but the gameplay is more so an action strategy game on a spooky setting.
It will only consist of 5 main nights and an optional challenge night. I believe I could make a custom night however I don't believe that playing around with the difficulty of 3 characters will change the game much, so instead 20/20/20 mode will be said challenge night.
The story should be made completely clear, I do not want to make an overcomplicated story hidden behind a curtain of small clues, I really want you to understand the entire story as I believe that it's a strong point of the game.
I plan to introduce the player to the gameplay mechanics by using VHS tapes, not intended to the player. In fact, the trailer you saw at Fazbear Gameverse 2 is a tape that will actually play in the game... but you know, extended and without the locker thingy...

How do you plan on developing the game?
I have focused to make the coding of the game the best I can, in fact, I've already started programming the game and it's looking really clean so far. I am focusing on finishing what I have planned and then I'll add everything else that is missing, I believe that method is working really well and it has sped up the development quite significantly.
I've also wanted this game to feel somewhat stylistic, breaking out of the "Fredbear Fangame" chains will allow me to go bonkers if I want to... well, perhaps I already did.
I am really looking forward to finishing this game, hope you like the end result!
And now, a collection of random ideas that may be in the game:
No "jumpscares", there will be death animations that may scare you, however I'll try not to use a proper FNaF Jumpscare if I don't have to.
Pause menu, that's it.
Really bright ambience in terms of illumination, l do not want to make it be really dark and hard for you to see anything at all.
Weird stuff.
Make the death screen a human head being stripped out of his flesh until only the skeleton remains, in fact I should already check this as completed. [✓]
I accidentally made parallels to Sister Location through the game and story, so perhaps I should make them more obvious now and act like "Yeah, that was the plan all along haha..."

I really want to make updates on the game following this format, I really like expressing every single thought behind what I do, it's lots of text with lots of info that many aren't probably gonna read cause it feels as if everyone now has the attention span of a... fish?? (Do fish even actually pay attention? What does that even mean??)
