Yup! This is it!
VERSION 1.0 IS OFFICIALLY FINISHED!
What? How do I know? I just friggen tested it and it's just about as smooth as a new born baby butt!

It's been quite the journey. DGU has had several overhauls from Finale, to Cynical 7, to DON'T GIVE UP, and restructuring the game to be accessible to all ages. I've finally managed to make the game I wanted to make.
With support of local friends and 2 weekends of testing (and many many many rounds of solo testing), I am confident that DON'T GIVE UP's ambition is a major success.
So this is one Kickstarter project that has fully averted development limbo!
So what happens now?
1.0 is going receive promotional support from Humble and released in their monthly bundle for August! This is going to be a crucial time for the game, as the universe is in all likeliness going to form an opinion on it in addition to it being the culmination of its exposure. If it doesn't make waves here we might be in some trouble :P During this time I'll be watching like a hawk for any suggestions or bugs that slipped through the cracks.
While this is going on we'll be preparing final content for the official Steam release, this includes object descriptions, our Kickstarter quests, miscellaneous improvements, potential new areas, and tackling our "extra flair" list. (Meaning bonus things that were never expected to be in the game but we'll use any extra time remaining to fit in!)
In the last week DON'T GIVE UP gained over 1,000 followers on Game Jolt, that means it doubled what it was able to make in over the course of a year! (Hopefully a good omen).

Thank you all for your support and patience! We managed to finish the game in less than a year from the original Kickstarter as set out and it feels darn good. Thank you to Jarnik, Brandon, and Kaley for helping bring my vision to life! The next update will be on release in case something stellar happens between now and then!
