After a fight with Dream and Nightmare for a long time, Dream lost and Nightmare kills him and won the fight, except one.
But after realizing it, Neil snapped and decided to take revenge on Dream to save Nightmare from his negativity, now he's the guardian of the positivity to save others to make the dream's come true after negativity fades away.
