Hey everyone!! haven’t made a devlog since San Japan and a lot has been implemented since then for PAX South. For San Japan I was able to finish up the Jack O’ Rudder Halloween set and looked pretty badass in gameplay! Glad people were able to play and have fun in Jack’s new armour set.
Now i’ve been focusing on animating Jacks new weapon sets and one of my favorite ones that I finished animating was of Big Bertha’s heavy attack.
I was excited to start working on Arrowsong since we wanted to see how a bow and arrow weapon would feel in our game and after playtesting numourous of times….it feels amazing. You can use Arrowsong to shoot a good distance between the enemy and yourself and also shoot in a 45 degree angle to kill pesky bats that can hide in the corners before they kill you (trust me, they can get annoying). Another cool feature that Arrowsong has is that Jack will slow down as he falls only if he is aiming with his bow. Shooting with style of course.
Lastly I finished working on Ol’ Faithful’s heavy attack and will be working on some of his light combos for Jack’s shield. Might have some Captain America flair to some of his shield move sets but there are numerous ways we can go about this so im excited to work and finish up Ol’ Faithful. I’ll probably have the finished animation to show everyone on my next devlog so keep a lookout on that!
