Viola is the main "protagonist" of The Witch's House and deuteragonist of Diary of Ellen novel.
A young girl, Viola, is drawn inexorably to a mysterious manor that seems to change behind her back. It is a place of pain, turmoil and death. To continue into the manor, Viola will have to use the scissors on the workbench to cut a teddybear limbs off. This action will have consequences: eyes of a Giant Bear peers her in the dark. It is believed that since its appearance is triggered by cutting off the small bear's limbs, the Giant Bear is seeking revenge for cutting off its kin's limbs.
