Greetings everyone!
Chris Zflenki here, back again with another progress report.
Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten as much done as we did last month, but we’ve still got a good amount of progress done.
New Team members and graphical overhaul
As of recently, 3 new people have joined our team, all of them specialising in pixel art.
Thanks to all of them, we’ve been able to completely finish replacing all placeholders in the game so far.
Here’s a few comparisons of before and after!
Before
And after! Tileset by Debohra, several assets by Tooker and Jon.
Before
And after! Credit to Jon for most assets, and credit to Munchy for the grass.
And here’s a test room using our new dungeon tileset.
So yeah, we’ve been working hard to replace all placeholders in the game so far.
There’s only a few more things we need to replace, but we’ll get it done eventually.
Plans for this month
Another thing I’ve been working on myself is getting all the dialogue for chapter one ready.
I have the entire chapter fully planned out, and a big part of chapter two.
Ofcourse, I also know how the rest of the game will go basically, but that’s still a bit vague.
Anyway, I’d say the dialogue is about 60 - 65% done.
The dialogue has been my priority this month, so we don’t really have much besides that (besides some bug fixes) done.
This month, I’ll be working hard to get the remaining dialogue done.
If I have enough time, I’ll also redo some U.I and make the menu look better, as well as get the game itself further done.
I think that’s about it for this month.
Sorry that we don’t have as much to show off as last month.
Until next month!
