While developing the update, I will be posting process work for you all to see!
No spoilers will be in these posts, but there’ll be enough for you to look forward to! For this post, the feature is the upcoming character in Alice’s Room. I do wonder what, based on this post, you will theorize about her. She is quite a different personality from the other three residents so far, and I think you will enjoy her!

When I design a character for Who I See, I design their room at the same time. Their presence in the room should be designed in a way that they are interacting in some way with the room. Whether it be Peter’s obvious glass box or something as simple as Alice leaning against a wall, I don’t just want a person standing about. If a character is in a particular room, make the most of that particular room.
Not only that, but for this particular game, it’s important for a room to reflect the character in it. An example involves the various crayon drawings in Alice’s Hall. These sketches just show the basic layout of the room but when the update is out, the content in the room will be quite telling of its resident.

I always want a character’s personality or essence to be seen in their appearance. It could be as something as obvious as color palettes, or something more subtle like, are they made up of more curved fluid lines or straight rigid lines. Since these are early sketches the character idea is always open to editing, and these sketches will be improved upon for the best final result, but these images show the basic visual idea that I will work off of.
Thank you for playing or watching the game! Follow it so that you can be alerted to each post of early sketches. They are not daily, and they come whenever they are ready. Don’t miss out! Feel free to comment or question about anything if you want! And thank you for enjoying!
