This recently popped in my head, but what I could I do better with some party members? Like specifically, Kira and the amount of party members in the game?
Let’s start with character personalities.
At this point, I know what personalities each party member are defined as in my head, except for Kira, which is kind of a problem considering she is the first party member you get.
But another problem is I’m having trouble giving her much of a personality outside of “I don’t give a crap what’s going on,” due to her being the other genocide party member.
This was the same problem I was having with Siren too, and what prompted his design change.
A character you haven’t met yet, Jessie, is more meant to be a jackass and a bully, just being an over all unlikable character, yet a crucial one for genocide, though she would develop in the true pacifist route to be a bit more nicer.
Siren on the other hand now is more of a meek, shy boy who slowly gets a bit more confident with himself as the journey goes on, but is also pick on fuel for Jessie over the adventure.
But Kira? All I can say about her is she just could care less about what’s going on.
So my first question to you is: Should I change Kira? or is she fine the way she is?
Alright, onto the second part of this post: Party member amount.
This one shouldn’t take long, about how many party members do you think should be in the game? I have originally planned 5, but I think that might be too many, unless one of them is genocide exclusive
And lastly? Party member pacing.
Am I introducing party members too slowly? Should they all be introduced at once? Or is it fine as is with one per an area? Or should Kira and Siren be introduced in the ruins, and Jessie and potentially the other one introduced in Snowdin?
The reason I ask this is because I kinda want a bit more time to develop the characters.
