End of June Devlog: Map layout reveal, and some actual decent progress for once

Hey guys it's that time again, another rushed late devlog of Dayshift Simulator! So let's get started shall we?

Demo Progress

So it's been roughly a month since I've "restarted" and so far I think I've made some good progress. Sprites are around 80% done, and I've done some extra stuff like this map layout here. You can press M to bring up the map anywhere at anytime in game.

Other Stuff

I've also completed some miscellaneous stuff like the normal Game Over screen, Menu screen, and picked out most of the music for the demo. If you've been checking the game page lately, the two songs in the music box of the game page are now gone. It's because I decided to add the songs in when I've got them all ready instead of one at a time in case I decide to change any of em.

Upcoming 1 year milestone

Oh yea, it's actually been almost 1 year since I started this game page, (about one month away) and I really can't believe it's actually been this long. When I realized this I thought it'd be fitting to release the demo on that day, but at this rate I'm not sure if I'll be able to. I'm just letting you guys know, if I can't get the demo out by then, I'll just think of something else for the 1 year anniversary.

And that's about it, I can't show some some of the stuff I did since it's stuff best saved for seeing in the demo so I was only able to show the map layout. Anyway I'll see you guys in the next devlog!

Oh and uh thanks for 50 followers and 90 followers for Dayshift Simulator. I'm glad that there are people who are actually interested in this mess of a game. Seriously thank you for following, I appreciate it. :) See you guys later!

Runestones: from concept to in-game model🗿

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
