Engine Progress: 6/23/2019

Hello! I'm the only guy working on developing this project, and I have every intention of taking everything I've learned from the passed few years and combining it to hopefully make a relatively fun game. So as the project page says, this game is developed in Java using a Raycasting engine found on GitHub, written by maciej-nowicki. I'm currently in the process of using this open source engine and modifying this code to fit my needs.

In the first image above, I modified the default textures to more resemble what I think I want from the game as sort of a place holder. And in the second image above, the simulated lighting that's also featured in this engine is enabled.

Some features that I have planned are to make lighting multi-threaded, improving FPS exponentially as well as adding various sound effects and removing some of the default key binds this engine has by default (such as for enabling and disabling lighting, enabling shaders, etc).

New challenges & new effects!

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa MarĂa Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

Here's a Fredbear sprite i made in Aseprite! I'm pretty proud of this!

(Btw, sorry for the double post! I'll try to post less)
