Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates or devlogs for 2 months. I’m finally back, I’m ready to do more stuff as I’m currently caught up with FNaF World stuff (just waiting for team progress atm). I’m a lot more motivated and have gotten a lot of ideas today on where to go, what to do, etc.
Focusing on a Full Release
Originally, before I took my mental break from Engraved, I was going to do a full Demo 2 with new night, new items, and would release it this year. Since I had this break, it kinda came to me that if I just did a continuous sprinkling of updates here and there, it wouldn’t go anywhere, and I don’t think I’d even make it to the idealized release for the full Demo 2 update.
It’s much more beneficial for me to put my focus on making the full game. Focusing on new mechanics, challenges, boss-ish nights, and new tower ideas for the tower defense section, and creating new fun (fun fun fun fun…) stuff for the tycoon. It’s gonna be a whole lot longer than what the demo is currently, which kinda brings me to my next point.
What’s going to be in the Full Release?
New Nights/Levels
This is a weird one, as many people are used to only having 5-7 nights at Freddy’s (ha ha). The Full Release is going to have 21 nights, each will bring something new to the table for the player to mess with or a repeated challenge they have to complete while surviving the night.
Challenges could be call-backs to Pizza Simulator, Sister Location, or just plain ol’ unique to the game. Furthermore, these weeks will be separated as though you’re going through separate levels of the building.
First week was the normal tower defense kind of stuff; Second week will be more… industrial? It’s more about the vents, but I’ll likely make things a lot more interesting. The third week will be more basement-level, with animatronics that swim through the sewer pipes (think of this week being like an ultimate, hard test). Each night will include at least 2 or ALL kinds of traversal methods.
The 7th night of the week will be a boss fight. I haven’t fully figured out what to do, but I think I’m definitely going to make them a lot more like special, unique nights that you can’t get from the normal ones. The very last night will be a legit final boss fight.
Nearly All Mainline Game Animatronics/Items will be in the Tycoon.
Yes, all of them. If you need clarification, it will be from FNaF 1, 2, 3 (not phantoms), SL, FFPS, and Security Breach.
“BUT WAIT!!!!!” You might be asking, “What about the spin-off characters you asked us about earlier?” You probably didn’t ask this, but I’ll *try* to implement your suggestions into the game. For ADDITIONAL clarification, I will also be looking into more of the books and other media that FNaF has been in (or hasn’t been in). This will also include “some” of the Fanverse stuff.

Since you asked so nicely, yes, I want Jeff the Shark to swim in the sewer pipes to murder the player.
Bonus Stuff (or at least TRY to add)
Obviously, Infinite Tycoon will still be unlocked after the 6 nights you’ve completed, as I don’t want it locked behind the whole game, vs when the demo allowed access after the 6 nights.
But what about other stuff? It can’t just be an Infinite Tycoon. Well, I have a few ideas to try out:
Custom Night: Select the characters you want to battle against and the towers you want to use for the night, or choose specific challenges.
[really unlikely and could not be in the final game] Night (Tower Defense) Builder: Creating your own Tower Defense night and layout. Select specific characters and towers to make a real challenge for others to play [sending files to other people to import]

There’s an idea I’d love to do that features a Fanverse game whose creator has a previously cancelled fangame that inspired the night section of Engraved. But I don’t wanna say, as I want to at least try to keep the idea a secret (I also wanna think about ideas for the other Fanverse games)
Will there be post-launch stuff?
I would love to try adding SOTM stuff post-launch, but I don’t know just yet. There probably won’t. If there were, I’d probably just make a sequel and expand more ideas from more of the Steel Wool section of games or the TFTPP books.
I think that’s all I wanted to cover at the moment. Of course, there’s more stuff that gives the game more depth, but I don’t think I want to talk about that more, as it’ll be too much info. That’ll be your OWN treasure hunt… or ig player experience? I don’t know.
I'm going to be working on it sooner than later to make new stuff, but I am very happy with the community surrounding this game, and I really want to give it my all when making more stuff in the future. Thank you so much, and I hope you’ll be excited for the future!
