Escape the Kilobyte!

I’m a bit late posting this, but forgive me. I’m new to this site.

“Kilobyte” is a game akin to the current formula of indie-horror: You’re trapped in a dark place being hunted by a horrible monster. You need to find a selected number of items in order to open the path for your escape. All the while, you need to avoid the monster or risk death.

What makes Kilobyte different from your usual indie-horror is that it features randomly generated stages, four different difficulty settings, and online high scores. Players that are fond of these types of games should appriciate those features, allowing players to have select the level of challenge they want and be supplied with a relatively endless amount of variety in their play-through experiances.

As well, for the faint of heart, Kilobyte is a game that’s far more forgiving than most in terms of the “scary” factor. Though reportably still a tense and frieghtening game, the game features only one, small jump-scare within it’s mechanics, to help ease those who hate being statled in an unfair manor. Still, an advisory to those that aren’t good with horror games if you wish to attempt playing this game.

All that said, please, go and enjoy the game. See if you have what it takes to escape the Kilobyte.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
