As for the japanese version however, i dont actually speak nor understand it, so i used a translator, but the issue is, i did attempt to edit it, but no change was made
So that means, looking at the hex editor, but, also, compressed art seems to have slightly different locations
So that version is just a small edit of the us version

it seems changing the background color in rainbow road seems to do this to the ending
idk if this is a scrapped feature or not looked in the bsnes debugger and it seems its still has the rainbow road tiles and palette loaded in
