Every day is the same…
My dad and step mom were both gone when I woke up.
My brother rushed off to school without making food or saying goodbye.
And so I would sleep.
Courtney didn’t come home today, but at 4PM, my brother came home. He sat at the end of my bed and we did our homework.
My lungs were in so much pain by 8PM and I didn’t know where Courtney kept my medication. My brother told me there was a present for me. He reached into his backpack and pulled out a purple plush rabbit.
“This is Bonnie. Take good care of him.” He patted my knee and walked out of the room.
I tried to sleep, hugging the gang of plush toys close to myself. I was coughing up red, and it stained my pillows. I didn’t sleep. At 12AM, still just silence.
Maybe he was still at Freddy’s…
