I’ve created an experimental build that kinda reworks the whole main component of the game. Instead of tiles activating automatically, I’m trying out whether it’s better or worse if the player can activate the tiles manually instead, using the S key.
If you have played Necken before, please help me by testing the new experimental build on the game site and decide whether you like it better when tiles are activated manually or automatically.
If you haven’t played Necken yet, it would mean a lot to me if you would try out the normal builds of the game, get a feel of the core mechanics a bit, and then try out the experimental build where it’s activated manually instead.
I would really love and appreciate all the help I could get on deciding whether this core mechanic should be changed or not. I’m quite biased myself, having developed the game for a year back and forth where the automatic activation has kinda been set from the beginning.
If it happens that you like the game that I’m making or just want to be extra helpful, which I will greatly appreciate - write a comment letting me know what you think is better and worse with the new experimental build.
I should also mention, that it’s not really a playable build since the enemies have been removed completely, mostly because I haven’t solved the combat part completely yet in manual mode.
Thank you for all of your support so far guys, love you <3
