Here’s a weird Gem of the Indie Games society: “Extreme Ball Rotator 3” is a 2.5-D Game for Windows and the Android, but i can’t tell if i enjoy it, or not. On the one hand, the Name of the game is VERY Misleading. By looking up whether there was a “Extreme Ball Rotator 1 or 2” you’ll find that this has no real predecessors. Further more, in Extreme Ball ROTATOR 3, there’s very little ROTATING done.

But on the other hand, the gameplay of the game is pretty well done, switching between an overhead zelda-style Get-to-the-top-of-the-level, and a side scrolling Get-to-the-top-of-the-level.

But at the same time, the gameplay is INFURIATING! The Ball you play as, must have a DUDE inside him. you will CONSTANTLY find yourself falling off an edge because you couldn’t turn in time. You can also collect coins so you can buy new skins for your Ball to wear, which I thought was a nice touch. although you don’t really ever want to unless you want the power ups that like 4 box skins are bound to have.

The song in the background is nice, and switches between peacefull and fast paced, to chaotic and exciting. But AT THE SAME TIME, this is the only song in the game, and you’ll eventually just turn the music off so you can concentrate. so overall, most good points get drowned out by the bad points, and the boss (if you can call them that,) are a bit lazy, BUT THE GAME IS SO FUN! I swear, I’ve had more fun with this, than most other games I’ve played. so give this Game a try, it definitely deserves it.
