So, obviously, Undertale: Ignited is a project whose size is comparable to the two chapters of Deltarune. Even if Toby Fox did not complete them alone and it took him so many years, it was foolish to believe that we would be able to take the fortress by raid. To put it simply, the team cannot cope with the amount of work.
There are 4 people working on the project - 1 artist, 1 programmer, 1 musician, 1 scriptwriter. It even sounds funny, the ensemble wants to make the game of the year. We have one person working on locations, characters, the interface and the entire visual. We have one person working on the entire code of the game. We have one person working on all the music and sound design. The longer the development goes on, the more fatigue accumulates.
The development of the game began fully in the spring of this year. But it didn't go beyond the location's tiles and half of the soundtrack. My colleagues are wonderful people who worked hard. But they are not omnipotent. It hurts me to even imagine how they feel.
Recently, Lomolom announced his desire to take a break from the project, which is in fact an undeniable pause of the project. It is impossible to do anything without an artist. I don't blame Lom and hope that he will rest and gather his strength. He is a wonderful person who feels too many bad feelings for himself. Which I think is undeserved for a talent like him.
Stay in touch. Ignited has not died and the proper information will continue to be released. It's just that until we find new people for the team, this game is doomed to never come out.
And with our reputation, new people in the team are an almost impossible phenomenon.
Thank you all. Stay determined.
