("Boo why are you making kaatie evil?" I'm not, I'm going to explain before I get sent threats, so in the witch's lore I explained on how she was tested by the corporation and that included kaatie, she did not like testing on the witch, she even felt like a daughter to her, but the corporation forced her to. In fact, kaatie was the reason why the witch had escaped because kaatie freed her, but the witch still hated her because she still tested on her. The image is meant to represent on how both kaatie and the witch sees herself/her, an innocent person but forced to be evil in kaatie's perspective and just evil in the witch's perspective. The smiles around kaatie are meant to represent guilt and laughs from the corporation.
