Sorta. There are actually a lot of people that develop a fear at a young age when playing video games. Now I don’t know if there is any confirmed name for this phobia, but I have it. The fear of Glitches. For the sake of fun, I’m gonna name it glitophobia (not to be confused with gletophobia). If any one noticed, I don’t like Super Mario Sunshine. Why? Let’s start with my fear. People have different glitch fears like seeing game coding like in pokemon and stuff like that, but I hate drowning. That’s not a glitch? Well I hate drowning and being out of the map, which in water games a lot. Super Mario Sunshine is 99.9% Water, and is very glitchy with the world. I don’t like it for that reason and have developed a fear of the game (which I will call, smsphobia). I know this sounds stupid, but many people have this and are left out. If you want some topics, I’ll list them here:

If you want to read them, be my guest. This is actually very annoying. When I fall out of the world in games I tend to not look at my screen. Oddly enough, when the skybox is open in the game like Roblox and Disney infinity, I’m not bothered because I know it’s a respawn. I normally don’t like looking “out of my mind” or into the sky in dreams but it’s really not too related, I thought it might be similar. I always had fears of it from this game. I never liked dying in Super Mario Sunshine because I also didn’t like the death sounds, they made me depressed. Especially the one from the orginal Mario Bro’s (Not the platformer one, the Arcade game). I mean, I have my limits.
