February Android Port Update

Dear shipmates,

As promised, quick update on our work for the Android port: Milestone 1 has completed!

A good deal of Floating Sandbox's code - the core utility code _and_ the physics simulation engine - is now 100% portable to any platform, as long as it allows for C++17 compilation (and I believe this only leaves out my vacuum cleaner, nowadays).

Our testers group is now busy messing with the game to ensure the new codebase is 100% the same as the last release.

This is fantastic news, as it means I can now start coding (again) in Android Studio to begin Milestone 2. An update about that will follow shortly.

Cheers,

Gabe

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

So here's the first of the zodiac signs i will make for the next weeks.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
