Hello! Holiday has finished and so is the break.
I’ll be starting up work again really soon, starting with:
1) More Room Makeovers
2) Character Changes
3) Item Changes
4) Text Changes
5) Story Changes
6) Adding Easter Eggs
7) Better Mechanics (May Change The Pendant of Switching)
And so forth…
All in all, I’d rather dish out something completely new and refurbished rather than giving you 10+ minutes of gameplay like I said.
In my opinion, self-evaluation is key, and when I looked over what I’d done while working on CPEA, I’ve realised it isn’t something I should be proud of. In about 2+ years I’ve made only 1 Prologue, 2 Chapters with a 3rd and 4th on the way. It is evident to me that all original concepts and ideas I had for the project were, to put it eloquently, childish. I know I’m not the most mature person as of yet but all the ideas I put into the game now seem worthless and unappealing to me.
For instance, there was that stupid “dimensions” mechanic that I failed to explain and implement properly so I’ll have to rework it. Once you had read the book in Chapter 1, it explained the whole plot to you. That’s like going along and watching a horror movie with the entire plot, script and jumpscare times in front of you.
On another note, I don’t think you got to know the characters that well. In the original game, the candlelit story and the student’s reactions clearly showed their personalities.
I apologise profusely for all the breaks I’ve taken, and all for a piece of trash that I call Corpse Party: Ever After.
I will do my absolute best to completely redesign everything but I ask you, my loyal followers, so stay patient with me.
Thank you for following Corpse Party: Ever After. Monthly updates have now returned.
