I absolutely loved the game! Bellow is a breakdown of everything without major spoilers! Be warned though, *there may still be minor spoilers in my review!*

-STORY

the story was a lot less cryptic than previous games, it was much easier to follow, and even then leaves plenty of room for theorizing and speculation! The story behind the MCM (Murray’s costume manor) and Edwin’s family is both intriguing and tragic! You really begin to connect with the characters in the game, or I did at least! The lore that connects to the future of fnaf and even the original trilogy is insane! For fans of the original trilogy, some familiar faces might surprise you! It sure surprised me! Over all I loved the story and already have replayed the game about 4 times! I don’t really have anything bad to say about the story, it’s a breath of fresh air to have some lore directly given to us, rather than being spoon fed a overly broad and sometimes quite confusing story. This time around definitely was a 9/10 for me!

-GAMEPLAY / LOCATION

This game surprised me! I personally loved the open world gameplay of security breach and was worried this game was gonna take a more linear approach like Ruin did. But it seems Steel Wool took feedback from both of those games and crafted a mix of the two! Definitely a smaller location than the pizzaplex with a more linear story structure, but the entire location opens up by the end of the game, allowing for exploration! Plenty of secret rooms, routes, and even (minor spoiler) some secret characters!! One of which absolutely terrified me! Which leads me to the next section, but before I get to horror, I would like to quickly mention that the puzzles were much clearer this time around. And the chases… oh my god the chases!!! The chase sequences in this game had me on the edge of my seat the entire time!! Gameplay for sure is a 9/10 for me!

My only critique would be that some auto saves during endgame are too spaced out, and once you start the ending, you will have to replay the entire game to enter full free roam again. Basically once you reach the final mission of the game, you are free to explore the entire location to finish up collecting collectibles or discovering secrets, however as soon as you enter the final mission, you no longer can turn back and will be forced to replay the game again on “New Game +.” And that might seem frustrating, but the game is worth playing multiple times, also you have to complete at least 2 playthroughs for the platinum trophy/ both endings if your planning on it! So again, 9/10 for gameplay!

-HORROR

This game is scary. No joke! The concept that the main threat could be hiding in any of the hundreds of costumes lying around the manor is haunting. And when one does activate, all of their designs for one is scary!! But also, if the threat spots you, it will super sprint straight for you! It’s terrifying.. I would also like to mention, and this sorta goes along with gameplay, the games has many different gameplay mechanics/ section! One of my favorite parts was in the basement of the location (minor gameplay spoiler ahead) where you have to stand in the light to avoid a threat looming in the darkness. Super eerie!! Horror was definitely a 10/10 for me!!

-CHARACTERS

One of my favorite parts of fnaf are the character designs, this game while taking a much different approach still feels like fnaf. Wait till you see “big top,” he has such a cool design!! All of the mascot costumes too are interesting, probably because there are so many of them. Easily over 20 different designs/ reskins! 10/10 easily!

-MUSIC

The music in this game is god tier!! Absolute bangers! Some reoccurring motives are hidden in the tracks too! Keep an ear out for them!! I love the track “A Poisonous Kiss,” give it a listen, it’s a very beautiful track in a darker way! 10/10 ost!!

-TROPHIES

Quick section on trophies, they weren’t too hard to achieve, but requires a lot of time exploring the location and possibly up to 2-3 playthroughs! Happy hunting! Very enjoyable though, 9/10 trophy hunt!

Over all that’s about all I have to say, I looooved the game!! Can’t wait to see what’s next, maybe some dlc?? 9/10 fnaf game for me, might be one of my favorites yet!!
