It took so long for me to share this game, because I wanted to use the GameJolt API, and it HAD to work on Windows and OSX! >:)
The game itself was pretty much complete by the time the jam ended, but there was some enhancements we wanted to implement (shadows!).
The framework we used for this game, cocos2d-x, is showing some serious issues when rendering on Windows (not to mention the text input, which is so ugly on Windows). On the next jam, I’ll probably create a HTML5 game, to try to dimish all the hurdle we had while testing on both platforms.
Nevertheless, I hope that cocos2d-x 3.0 fixes these problems, performance on web games tend to be cruel. Or maybe it’s time for me to try another engine…
