About time I finally got to coding in some AI for this and not focussing on the smaller things. Let's go over a few changes I made since December 2nd, hey?
Removal of EMF:
I did not like the EMF reader thing, it was confusing and the mechanic I made for that in itself did not make sense, so I scrapped it and replaced it with something else, a scanner! The scanner will track each of the rooms in the building, including some the player cannot access (probably) because a character will be in them.
Photography:
I decided that each of the 4 rooms will only have one unique mechanic in them, so the Back Room will have the Scanner in to see where enemies are and the right hallway will have a camera? The only two characters whose mechanics I know at this point are Mario (as seen in the video) and Wario's. Wario will creep down the right hallway, at any point the player can flash the hallway and send him back. The closer he is to the player, the longer he is sent back for.
An actual Enemy:
Yes, Mario is being programmed in, theres obviously still a few bugs I need to fix, but at this point it is functioning how I want (minus the music, but I recently changed that).
Only thing left for Mario is the jumpscare. Then I can move onto Wario, the other enemy of Night 1.
Take this as that 'Progress Update' I promised a while back. I'll make a proper post a little bit longer down the line. But for now, this is what you get. Chao!
