First day

Hello! This is the first day of my first game jam, and really I have no idea about how this is going to end… hopefully I’ll be able to finish the game even if it is not within the jam’s deadline.

I’ve decided to go with the WWI theme, what with being the 100th anniversary of this terrible conflict, and I’m trying to make the game in HTML5 as an excuse to start exploring this language, which I’ve never used before.

For now I only have the title screen and the design of some soldiers (I’m really strugling to get something ressembling anything with just 4 colours):

As I (again hopefully) make some progress I’ll try to keep this news somewhat updated.

Thanks for reading!

Third Day The very basics are almost on place, although at this point the code is in serious need of some refactoring. My plans for tomorrow include working on the background, enemy animations and getting something at least minimally playable.

Today I was setting up the location of the first boss. His name is "Father" and he is the first of the Patagonians. His task is to guard the road to the House.🛡🗡 Bookmark pre-launch page🔖🔖🔖

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
