👋 Intro: The journey has just begun!
Hey everyone! It’s been an intense week behind the scenes. We’ve been grinding away, turning coffee into code and pixels, and we finally have some juicy updates to share. This week, the focus was purely on programming, and honestly, the game is starting to feel like a completely different beast!
🛠 Project Status
I can't give a specific date for an Alpha or Beta version just yet. However, I’ve started tackling the more complex programming hurdles bit by bit. It's a marathon, not a sprint!
🚀 Key Highlights
A quick summary of everything achieved so far:
🗺️ Interactive map system: 60%
This part is going great! Most of the logic is done, though it still needs a lot of polish. We don’t have the final map sprites yet, but the technical placeholders are working perfectly for testing.

🏆 Integrated Achievement: 90% (like 90% studios lol)
This is almost done. The only thing missing is adjusting the background sprites to match the PA aesthetic.

🖱️ Point & Click : 30%
Easily one of the hardest things to program right now. The classroom is currently a bug-fest, but hey, it's functional! It’s tricky because it has to play nice with the original game's variables.

🕵️ Hidden Secrets & Easter Eggs: 0%
First things first! We’ll get to the secrets once the foundation is solid.
🎶 Soundtrack Remixes: 50%
We already have all the remixed songs but we haven't tested them in-game and we need to make them toggleable.

📖 Expanded Content: 15%
In this part we've already added the PA3 sections, but they're full of bugs, but hey! They're there, right?
We also made a simple new room called Dark Room

Progress update: We’ve ported 8 rooms from PA3 to PA1E so far, and yes, everything is as clickable as it was in PA3!
🌍 Universal Auto-Translation: 65%
I decided to handle this separately using Python.
How does it work? (Time to get technical! 🤓☝️)
In PA Enhanced, there’s a template language created with the Ren’py SDK. The translator copies that template, renames it internally/externally, and uses the DeepTranslate Python library to process the lines.
Accuracy: Since it uses Google Translate, it won't be 100% perfect.
AI Integration: I’m looking into adding API support (like Claude or Gemini) so players with their own API keys can get super-accurate, AI-driven translations.
There will be automatic translation into 132 languages, not counting English, which comes by default.
