It’s been awhile since I posted an update. Well, on April 11th, we officially started our beta testing period for the { First Quarter } version of our game! I thought I’d write a little about how that has gone so far.
So far, the game has been receiving positive feedback on the writing and the voicework. I’ve also received some honest critique and suggestions to consider. Many typos I missed were spotted by many of my thorough testers, and the game seems to be enjoyed overall. There doesn’t seem to be any errors with its functions, which is good. Currently, the only extras that fully function in the beta are the CG Gallery and the Music Player—I am working on the other features in Extras to be fully functional by the short version’s public release.
In other news, I’ve gotten some more wonderful artists aboard to do event CGs and extra art (still looking for more of course), as well as 1 composer to do about 5 original tracks. I’m also having another artist replicate the filtered photos I used, so at some point when they’re done I’ll replace all filtered photos so the game looks a bit more polished. I’ve also figured out how to code in custom Yes/No prompts, and I’ve uploaded a screenshot with an example (which has Tori’s chibi by the lovely wingzofdarkness).
Anyway, so yeah, the beta is doing beautifully and is being well received. I’ve enjoyed receiving multiple different opinions on how they have enjoyed the game, who is their favourite and least favourite, and things they didn’t like/would like to see improvement on. I hope you all will enjoy the short version as well once it is up.
