Five Nights at Maggie's 2 | Introduction - Entry 1


Hello everybody, as you most likely know I am the programmer for this recode and upgrade in general of the original Five Nights at Maggie's 2. I'm also in charge of the game design which means I too make the new sprites, and the ideas themselves for the game. First of all, I want to say that I'm glad that I've been choosen to do this. I've always wanted to be a part of something regarding the Maggie's saga, so I will be sure to give the game a better image. I know I am rather irrelevant, and this is the first post I have made regarding the game, so I'd say it's best if we start with the goals I have for it yes?


Compared to the original version of the game, there will now be a much more smoother and nicer to look at UI for all of the game. Cool, right? You'll be able to go into a brand new settings menu on the title screen, with a bunch of accessibility options which include but are not limited to subtitles, language swap, and being able to choose between the old GUI and the new one for nostalgia's sake. Or if you unironically prefer shitty GUI, I dunno. For the main gameplay, each of the character's mechanics are being rewritten to be more complex yet balanced. The Withereds and some others are finished so far, and I really believe you'll be pleasantly surprised. A Toxic meter is planned to be added, which will raise the difficulty of the game by a bit. I thought it was a good choice since you don't need to wear the mask for most of the characters, which I believe makes it fair enough. The animatronics will now be able to go into more of the rooms, hopefully not making it feel too cluttered since they'll have enough freedom. I believe that's all that needs to be said about the gameplay itself for now, so for the endgame. The Extras menu will be completely changed, with quite the bunch of new sections which include a Custom Night and an Endless Mode. I won't say about anything about the Custom Night yet, but I'll be sure it surprises most of you.
